The Central Pollution Control Board has officially announced a massive 2026  recruitment Notification (Advt. No. 02/WQM-II/2025-Admin.(R)) to fill 51 Scientist-D, Scientist-C, Scientist-B, Assistant Manager (Finance), Administrative Assistant,  Scientific Assistant, Taxonomist, Data Entry Operator, Field Assistant vacancies. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, Apply Online on the official Web-site of this Central Pollution Control Board i.e. https://cpcb.gov.in/. The online application portal will be opened on 24.08.2026 at 10.00 AM for filling online applications and the date for closing the online application interface is 07.09.2026 at 11.59 PM

கல்வி தகுதி : 

• Scientist-D – 
  • Essential: First class Master’s in Environmental Science/ Natural Science Or First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology (Environmental/ Chemical/ Civil/ Energy and Environment/ Biotechnology) And Cumulative impact factor of total published papers in Journal should not be less than 10. Only papers published in UGC care list journals and Scopus indexed journals shall be considered for calculation of Impact factor Or Minimum Five Book/edited book chapter Published by National/International Publishers with an established peer review system having ISBN number Or Minimum Five Technical Reports published by Central Pollution Control Board/ State Pollution Control Board.
  • Required Experience: 7 years of relevant practical experience from reputed organizations in the field of Prevention, control & abatement of river pollution, industrial pollution, sewage management and environmental management. Candidate should be familiar with environmental norms, data analytics, etc.
• Scientist-C – 
  • Essential: First class Master’s in Environmental Science/ Natural Science Or First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology in (Environmental/ Chemical/ Civil/ Energy and Environment/ Biotechnology) And Cumulative impact factor of total published papers in Journal should not be less than 7. • Scientist-B – 
  • Essential: First class Master’s in Environmental Science/ Natural Science Or First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology in (Environmental/ Chemical/ Civil/ Energy and Environment/Biotechnology) And Valid GATE score with 90% above percentile/ NET-JRF qualified 
  • Required Experience: 3 years of relevant experience from reputed organizations in the field of Prevention, control & abatement of river pollution, industrial pollution, sewage management and environmental management. Candidate having relevant experience in research/teaching shall also be considered. 
• Assistant Manager (Finance) – 
  • Essential: First class Master’s Degree in Commerce (Finance & Accounting/Taxations)/Chartered Accountant /MBA (Finance & Accounting). 
  • Required Experience: 
    • 8 years’ post qualification experience in relevant field as follows: 
    • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advance 
    • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database package 
    • A minimum of 2 years of tax experience. 
    • Accounting entries in Tally & Qucik books, Preparation of vouchers, Filing the online returns for TDS, GST, PF, ESI, STPI etc. 
    • Payroll preparation and management. 
• Administrative Assistant – 
  • Essential: First Class Bachelor Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with working knowledge of computers. 
  • Required Experience: a) Minimum 05 years post qualification experience of administration work preferably in Govt. /PSU / Autonomous bodies in the relevant area in 4200/- grade pay or its equivalent b) Shall pass the skill test based on noting drafting. 
• Desirable: First Class Post – Graduation degree 
•  Scientific Assistant – 
  • Essential: First class Master’s in Environmental Science/ Natural  Science Or First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology in (Environmental/ Chemical/ Civil/ Energy and Environment/ Biotechnology) And Valid GATE score with 90% above percentile/ NET-JRF qualified
• Taxonomist – 
  • Essential: First Class M.Sc. 
  • Desirable: Master’s Degree in Botany or Zoology with minimum 75% marks or equivalent And Valid GATE score with 90% above percentile/NET-JRF qualified And Cumulative impact factor of total published papers in journal should not be less than 7. Only papers published in UGC care list journals and Scopus indexed journals shall be considered for calculation of impact factor Or At least One Book/Edited Book chapter published by National/International Publishers with an established peer review system having ISBN number Or At least One Technical Reports published by Central Pollution Control Board/State Pollution Control Board 
• Data Entry Operator – 
  • Essential: First class Bachelor Degree in Science/BCA. Shall pass the skill test in MS office (word, excel & power point), English typing speed @45 wpm and Hindi typing speed @35 wpm) only on computer 
  • Field Assistant – 
  • Essential: Passed 10+2 in Science with minimum 55%. Knowledge of water/ wastewater sampling and sample preservation
