IITM has released the recruitment notification No:  PER/02/2026 to fill the 09 Project Assistant, Technical Assistant,  Scientific Administrative Assistant Posts. The application form should be downloaded in PDF format from the official website @ https://www.tropmet.res.in/. The last date for the receipt of Filled application along with all enclosures is 12.03.2026, 16.03.2026 & 17.03.2026. Before submitting an application, candidates must carefully read the IITM Technical Assistant 2026 notification and verify their eligibility

கல்வி தகுதி : 

1. Project Assistant – 
   • Essential Qualification: 
     • Bachelor’s degree in  Science (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics) from an accredited University or equivalent. OR 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology from an accredited University or equivalent 
   • Desirable Qualification: 
     • 2 Years PG Diploma in Management from any University or equivalent.
     • Knowledge of performing various machine learning techniques, good knowledge of analyzing various datasets. 
     • Developing predictive regression models, statistical analysis. 
     • 8-10 year’s experience in Data Science, Statistical Data Analysis and project management in Private/Govt. Sectors.
2. Technical Assistant – 
   • Essential Qualification :
     • 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Mechanical) from a recognized University or equivalent. OR Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Computers) from an accredited University or equivalent. 
   • Desirable Qualification: 
     • B.Tech/Master’s Degree in the above-mentioned subjects. 
     • Experience in relevant fields or weather-related instruments. 
     • Programming skills with Python/MatLab/LabVIEW
3. Scientific Administrative Assistant – 
   • Essential Qualification:
     • Graduate degree in any Stream from an accredited University or equivalent. 
   • Desirable Qualification : 
     • Experience in laboratory/instrument-related work, laboratory maintenance, and basic knowledge of computer operation/data entry and preparation of documents, inventory management and administrative tasks

வயது வரம்பு :

• Project Assistant – 50 Years
• Technical Assistant – 50 Years 
• Scientific Administrative Assistant – 50 Years 

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

• SC/ ST: +5 years
• OBC: +3 years 
• PwBD (Gen/ EWS): +10 years 
• PwBD (SC/ ST): +15 years 
• PwBD (OBC): +13 years 

சம்பளம் : 

1. Project Assistant – Rs.20,000+ HRA
2. Technical Assistant – Rs.20,000+ HRA
3. Scientific Administrative Assistant – Rs.18,000+ HRA

தேர்வு செய்யும் முறை:

• Walk-In-Interview 

விண்ணப்பிக்கும் முறை :

• Candidates must report to the designated venue between 0900 and 1000 hrs on the scheduled date. Candidates who report after 1000 hrs will not be permitted to appear for Walk-In-Interview.
