 National  Book Trust has released the recruitment notification No: 92/2026/Estt. to fill the 17 Assistant Editor (English), Assistant Editor (English)  (For Comics / Graphic  Books / Coffee Table Books etc.), Editorial Assistant (English)  (For Comics / Graphic Books / Coffee Table Books etc.), Editorial Assistant  (Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Telugu – One each), Editorial Assistant (English) Posts. The application form should be downloaded in PDF format from the official website @ https://www.nbtindia.gov.in/. The last date for the receipt of Filled application along with all enclosures is 10.04.2026. கல்வி தகுதி : 

1. Assistant Editor (English)
   • Educational Qualification: Graduation from recognized University 
   • Desirable Qualification:  M.A (English) / M.Phil 
   • Experience: Ideally 3–4 years of experience in manuscript evaluation, commissioning, copyediting, proofreading, etc.
2. Assistant Editor (English)  (For Comics / Graphic Books / Coffee Table Books etc.)
   • Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University
   • Desirable Qualification: M.A (English) / M.Phil
   • Experience: Proven 3–4 years experience in manuscript evaluation, commissioning, copyediting, proofreading in a reputed publishing house with special expertise in conceptualizing, visualizing, scripting, editing, etc. of comic, graphic  books and other pictorial books such as coffee table books. Background of Art education/training and knowledge of graphics related IT Software will be an added advantage.
3. Editorial Assistant (English)  (For Comics / Graphic Books / Coffee Table Books etc.)
   • Educational Qualification: Graduation from recognized University
   • Desirable Qualification: M.A (English) / M.Phil
   • Experience: Proven 1–2 years experience in manuscript evaluation, commissioning, copyediting, proofreading in a reputed publishing house with special expertise in conceptualizing, visualizing, scripting, editing, etc. of comic, graphic books and other pictorial books such as coffee table books. Background of Art education/training and knowledge of graphics related IT Software will be an added advantage.
4. Editorial Assistant  (Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Telugu – One each)
   • Educational Qualification: Graduation
   • Desirable Qualification: Master’s Degree in specified language
   • Experience: a) Minimum 1 year experience of working in a publishing house in the Editorial Department. b) Translation, Copy Editing, Proof Reading, Excellent written & verbal communication skills. c) Knowledge of computer application i.e. Adobe PageMaker, InDesign, Page designing, DTP composing & Typesetting etc. in the concerned language.
5. Editorial Assistant (English)
   • Educational Qualification: Graduation
   • Desirable Qualification: Master’s Degree in specified language
   • Experience: a) Minimum 1 year experience of working in a publishing house in the Editorial Department. b) Translation, Copy Editing, Proof Reading, Excellent written & verbal communication skills. c) Knowledge of computer application i.e. Adobe PageMaker, InDesign, Page designing, DTP composing & Typesetting etc. in the concerned language.

3. Editorial Assistant (English)  (For Comics / Graphic Books / Coffee Table Books etc.) – Rs. 40,000/- to 50,000/- per month
4. Editorial Assistant  (Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Telugu – One each) – Rs. 40,000/- to 50,000/- per month
5. Editorial Assistant (English) – Rs. 40,000/- to 50,000/- per month
