NIT Trichy Recruitment 2026

 The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli has released its latest official recruitment notification to fill the 22 Group B & C (Technical Positions) Posts.The online application portal at the official website (https://www.nitt.edu/) will remain active from 25.02.2026 to 25.03.2026.                                   22 பணியிடம் காலியாக உள்ளது.

கல்வி தகுதி : 

1. Technical Assistant – 
   • Essential: First Class or equivalent Grade in B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in relevant subjects from a recognized University / Institute. Or First Class Diploma in Engineering in relevant Field with excellent academic record Or First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or Institute Or Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade
2. Junior Engineer (Electrical) –  
   • Essential: First Class B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil/Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. OR First Class Diploma Holders in Civil/Electrical Engineering with excellent academic record.
3. Library and Information Assistant – 
   • Essential: First Class Bachelors Degree in Science /Arts/ Commerce from accredited University /Institute and Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science.
   • Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking, PGDCA or equivalent from a recognized Institution.
4. Technician – 
   • Essential: Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a Government accredited board with at least 60% marks. Or Senior secondary (10+2) from a Government recognized board with at least 50% marks and an ITI Course of one year or higher duration in an appropriate trade. Or Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and an ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in an appropriate trade. Or Diploma in Engineering of 03 year’s duration in a concerned field from a Government recognized Polytechnic / Institute.
5. Senior Technician – 
   • Essential: Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a recognized board with at least 60% marks Or Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade. Or Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade. Or Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in a relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic / Institute.
   • Desirable: Bachelor’s degree

வயது வரம்பு :

1. Technical Assistant – 30 Years  
2. Junior Engineer – 30 Years   
3. Library & Information Assistant – 30 Years  
4. Technician – 27 Years
5. Senior Technician – 33 Years 

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

• For SC/ ST Applicants: +5 years
• For OBC Applicants: +3 years 
• For PwBD (Gen/ EWS) Applicants: +10 years 
• For PwBD (SC/ ST) Applicants: +15 years 
• For PwBD (OBC) Applicants: +13 years 
• For Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Govt. Policy

• Screening Test 
• Skill Test / Main Written Test  

விண்ணப்பிக்கும் முறை :

• Eligible candidates shall apply online between 25.02.2026 and 25.03.2026 (both days inclusive) through the ‘Careers’ page of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli website https://www.nitt.edu/ after carefully going through the instructions given in Official Notification.
• It is mandatory for applicants to submit the application form in physical copy. After submitting it online, they must download and print the completed form, sign it, and include self-attested photocopies of the supporting documents and certifications and send to “The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli-620015, Tamil Nadu” by Speed Post/Registered Post to reach on or before 31.03.2026 by 5:00 PM and mentioning over the cover “Application for the Post of _______________”.
