 The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has released its latest official recruitment notification (Advt. No.  IITM/R/1/2026 Dated 27.02.2026) to fill the 40 Assistant Professor (Grade II), Assistant Professor (Grade I) Posts. Candidates may get the details of On-line Application, Detailed Advertisement, General Instructions and apply Online on the official Web-site of this Indian Institute of Technology Madras i.e.  https://facapp.iitm.ac.in/. Assistant Professor (Grade II), Assistant Professor (Grade I) Posts

காலிப்பணியிடங்கள்  :

                                  40 பணியிடம் காலியாக உள்ளது.

கல்வி தகுதி : 

1. Assistant Professor (Grade II) –
   • Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree. Specialization in the relevant field or branch and a continuously strong academic record. 
   • Experience: Candidates with less than three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/ research/ teaching experience may be considered for this post.
2. Assistant Professor (Grade I) –
   • Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree. Specialization in the relevant field or branch and a continuously strong academic record. 
   • Experience: Candidates with at-least three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/ research/ teaching experience may be considered for the post.

வயது வரம்பு :

1. Assistant Professor (Grade II) – 36 years
2. Assistant Professor (Grade I) – 36 years 

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

• 5 Years for SC / ST  
• 3 Years for OBC (NCL)  
• Persons with Disabilities candidate:
  • By 10 Years for General (UR)  
  • By 13 Years for OBC (NCL)  
  • By 15 Years for SC / ST
• For Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Govt. Policy

சம்பளம் : 

1. Assistant Professor (Grade II) – Level 10 Rs.70,900/-
2. Assistant Professor (Grade I) – Level 12 Rs.1,01,500/-
